Heavy downpour sends Jakarta into gridlocks

Heavy rains that lasted less than an hour caused a deluge in most parts of Jakarta on Thursday afternoon, such as on Jl. Raya Fatmawati.
"The rain water has reached knee deep," said Medya on Thursday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Medya said areas in Gandaria Selatan were also swamped with water.
Jl. Raya Fatmawati heading to Pondok Labu and Blok M became gridlocked.
The rain also caused a severe traffic jam at Hotel Indonesia traffic circle with many motorcyclists stopping under nearby pedestrian bridges to avoid getting wet.
