Wulan to play lesbian role in movie

JAKARTA: Actress Wulan Guritno is slated to play a role as a lesbian in the upcoming movie Dilema.

“That’s why I cut my hair short ... I was also required to kiss a woman...” The 31-year-old actress said as quoted by kompas.com.

Wulan said that she felt less confident sporting the new pixie hair style, but she liked the movie so much that she didn’t mind changing her look for it.

The London-born actress has acted in dozens of films including Riri Riza’s Gie, a biopic about student activist Soe Hok Gie and Joko Anwar’s Janji Joni.
