Mount Lokon erupts 13 times on Friday morning

Mount Lokon in Tomohon, South Sulawesi, showed intensified volcanic activity on Friday morning, with 13 eruptions spewing ash up to 2001 meters into the air.
“There were some small eruptions that we recorded. These did not affect residents' activities around the mountain,” Mount Lokon and Mahawu observation post chief Farid Ruskanda Bina said Friday as quoted by Antara state news wire.
The post also recorded similar eruptions on Thursday when the mountain spewed ash up to 300 meters into the air, which indicated evaporation due to high temperatures, Farid said.
