A member of the House budget committee, Wa Ode Nurhayati, denied on Saturday allegations of suspicious transactions that implicated the committee, reported earlier by the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Center (PPATK).

“I don’t think that there were illegal transactions made by the committee," Wa Ode said on Saturday as quoted by tribunnews.com.

Wa Ode also lamented the reports in the media that her name had been repeatedly mentioned in connection with the transactions, while other members were not.

PPATK revealed its findings of 21 suspicious transactions implicating the House budget committee.

Wa Ode, a lawmaker from the National Mandate Party, had previous come into the media spotlight after accusing House leaders of receiving money for acting as brokers in the budget committee.
