Jakarta gov thanks Muhammadiyah for supporting Jakarta

Jakarta governor Fauzi Bowo thanked Muhammadiyah, the second largest Muslim organization in Indonesia, for providing education and religious sermons for city residents.

"We all know that Muhammadiyah has significantly contributed to the field of education and religious sermons. What Muhamadiyah has done has greatly contributed to Jakarta," he said during an event held by the Jakarta branch of Muhammadiyah on Sunday.

Fauzi hoped that Muhammadiyah would continue carrying out such activities to "maintain the conducive state of Jakarta" so that everyone could maintain their daily religious activities.
