Citibank embezzlement accomplices set stand trial

The trial of Andhika Gumilang, the husband of suspected Citibank embezzler Inong Malinda aka "Melinda Dee", is scheduled begin at South Jakarta District Court on Monday.
Prosecutors are expected to read out charges against Andhika, as well Malinda's brother-in-law, Ismail Bin Janim, concerning their alleged role in the embezzlement of Citibank customers' funds.
Earlier, in the trial of Malinda's sister, Visca Lovitasari, it was alleged that Visca knew that money in her account given to her by Malinda was the product of a crime.
Malinda is accused of siphoning around Rp 30 billion (US$3.42 million) from her clients' accounts.
Andhika, Ismail and Visca are being charged with the 2010 Law on Money Laundering.
