Lion Air plans to provide private service flights

PT Lion Mentari Airlines will set up a new company, PT Space Aviation, which would have the capacity to provide full service and private flights.
“However, we are evaluating whether another airline has used the name,” PT Lion Mentari Airlines general director Edward Sirait said on Monday.
Edward added that the company was processing the business permit (SIUP) at the Transportation Ministry so that flights could begin operating by November 2012.
He further said that Lion Air would provide six airplanes with a capacity of 18 people for the full service flights and two airplanes with capacity for eight people on private service flights.
He added that the Lion Air Group planned to add airplanes to their fleet by 2016.
