South Jakarta Police has arrested three suspects who allegedly gang raped a woman on board a public minivan earlier this month.
“Our team arrested [the suspects] yesterday in Padang, West Sumatra,” South Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Imam Sugianto said Wednesday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
The three suspects were identified as Andri or Putau, Sebastian and Aris. The three are allegedly friends of Yogi, the minivan driver, who was arrested last week.
The rape allegedly took place on board a D02 minivan plying the Lebak Bulus-Pondok Labu route on Sept. 1. The victim helped police capture the driver two weeks after the incident.
“Yogi is the only one who lives in Jakarta. The three others had come to Jakarta on holiday,” Imam said.
