Former vice president Jusuf Kalla met with the new Thailand Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at the Pheu Thai Party’s office in Bangkok on Wednesday.

The meeting lasted around 35 minutes. Kalla was accompanied by the Indonesian Ambassador to Thailand, Mohammad Hatta, Golkar politician Iskandar Mandji and Yasril Ananta Baharuddin.

However, Kalla refused to reveal the topic of his discussion with Thailand’s first female prime minister when asked by journalists, as reported by tribunnews.com.

Before visiting Bangkok, Kalla went to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to receive the Royal Order of Sanametrei Grand Cross (highest award for peace and humanity). The award was handed over by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen on Monday.
