President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and several ministers are scheduled to conduct a three-day visit to Jambi in Sumatra starting on Wednesday, to inspect conditions in the province and attend the National Islamic Tarbiyah (education) Meeting and All Sumatra Traditional Council Meeting.
Jambi Governor Hasan Basri Agus said that around 10 ministers would accompany the President on his visit, adding that officials from the Regional Representatives Council would also join the delegates.
Hasan further added that he would give a presentation to the visitors on development issues in Jambi, including infrastructure, air and sea terminals and road improvements.
"The aim is to receive funding from the central government. This province is unable to build without funds from the state budget," he said on Tuesday as reported by kompas.com.
The President, Hasan said, would compare programs in the province with those in the central government.
"There is the master plan to expand the National Economic Development Program [MP3E] and special economic zone in Ujung Jabung," he said.
