SMA 6 high school principal Kadarwati Mardiutama has apologized on behalf of the school for the alleged theft of a reporter’s video recording by SMA 6 students.
“We regret and apologize should it be proven that the culprit was one of our students,” Kadarwati told reporters at a press conference at the school on Wednesday, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Kadarwati said she would support the police in finding the person who stole a videotape from Oktaviardi, a Trans7 cameraman.
“We will also be transparent to our brother Okta, by helping to find the culprit who seized the tape,” she said.
“Last Monday we provided photos of all the students at SMA 6 so that Okta could identify the culprit, if he is one of our students.”
Last week, a group of youths attacked Oktaviardi, taking his videotape recording of a brawl between students of SMA 6 and SMA 70.
