Antasari to present 3 expert witnesses
Murder convict and former Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chief Antasari Azhar is set to present three expert witnesses in court on Thursday in his ongoing case review at South Jakarta District Court.
“The witnesses that we will be bringing in are a forensic expert, a ballistics expert and a legal expert,” Antasari’s lawyer Maqdir Ismail said Thursday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Maqdir identified the forensic expert as Abdul Mun’im Idris from the Cipto Mangunkusumo hospital in Jakarta, but was reluctant to name the other two witnesses.
“[I will identify them] later at the hearing. I don’t want to be accused of committing contempt of court,” he added.
Antasari was imprisoned in February 2010 for allegedly masterminding the murder of PT Putra Rajawali Banjaran director Nasruddin Zulkarnain.
He is currently undergoing a case review to overturn an 18-year prison sentence.
