The younger brother of murder victim Nasruddin Zulkarnaen said that he is willing to reveal all on his brother’s murder, but only if his safety is guaranteed.

“I will only give information if there is protection from the Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK),” Nasruddin’s younger brother, Andi Syamsuddin, said Thursday, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

Andi appeared in court as a witness for Antasari Azhar, the man convicted of murdering his brother. He said that he did not know, nor had any interest in, Antasari, but was keen on upholding justice for his brother.

Andi told the court that before his brother’s autopsy, a policeman came to him to ask whether Nasruddin had a stepdaughter called Rani Yulianti. When Andi said no, the policeman immediately said that the motive of the murder was a love triangle.

Antasari said that the incident told by Andi raised suspicions.

“The investigation had not begun, but the motive was already known,” said Antasari.

Antasari is currently undergoing a case review to overturn an 18-year prison sentence he received for the murder of Nasruddin.
