Global media investment firm Group M has won a tender to manage the commercial rights for the 2011-2012 Indonesia Super League, the Indonesian Soccer Association (PSSI) says.
“We have conducted a tender and the winner is Group M,” PSSI executive committee member Widodo Santoso said Thursday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
Group M shrugged off competition from other international companies such as Endemol and the World Sport Group to clinch the deal. However PSSI declined to comment on how much the deal was worth.
“The reason for choosing Group M was because they fit every requirement and were obviously the best in a number of areas. As for the value [of the deal] we cannot disclose it yet,” Widodo said.
