Otang, the husband of deceased migrant worker Dedeh Hodijah, said that he was facing trouble in getting the remains of his wife back to Indonesia for burial.
Dedeh, a migrant worker from Garut, West Java, died on June 28 at Jizan Hospital in Saudi Arabia after falling ill and slipping into a coma.
However, PT Youmba Bida Abadi, the company which sent her to Saudi Arabia, only informed the family on July 20.
"Return home my wife's body. The family does not know where she is being buried," Otang said when he met with lawmakers on Thursday.
He added that the Manpower and Transmigration Ministry as well as the Foreign Ministry were unable to provide information on his late wife nor help in repatriating the body.
"We want the government to bring back her body. She went to Saudi Arabia with a noble goal of being able to send our child to school," he said, as reported by tribunnews.com.
