Two months after the death of soul-jazz singer Amy Winehouse, her music continues to resonate in the hearts of her fans.
On the main stage of the 2011 Java Soulnation, which kicked off Friday, a special session honoring the singer titled “Tribute to Amy Winehouse” received a warm welcome from the audience.
The tribute began with a performance of "Olive who sings Help Your Self", followed by Jemima with "Stronger Than Me" from Amy’s first album, Frank.
The event featured a performance from Davina, who sang hits from Winehouse's second studio album Back to Black, a blend of jazz, soul, rock and classic pop that won the deceased singer five Grammys.
Jaydee performed "You Know I’m No Good" to wrap up the session.
“Tonight, we perform specially for one name: Amy Winehouse,” Jaydee shouted, as reported by Kompas.com on Friday.
