SBY, First Lady inspect housing project

JAMBI: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono inspected sanitation facilities in a densely populated housing area in Jambi during an official visit on Friday.
They visited the Kenali Asam Bawah area, which is inhabited by more than 3 million people, including 33,180 poor households.
Several houses in the area were being renovated by the Jambi administration in cooperation with the Indonesian Military, which planned to renovate 2,802 houses this year.
So far, 1,117 house have been renovated in the program.
“The First Lady has requested that sanitation facilities also be given attention,” the President said as reported by Antara news agency.
The President was accompanied by several ministers including National Education Minister Muhammad Nuh and Youth and Sports Minister Andi Mallarangeng.
After the inspection, the entourage headed to Sultan Thaha Airport to return to Jakarta.
