Miss Tourism Indonesia 2011 crown goes to Maluku

Melissa Putri Latar, a 22-year-old native of Maluku, has beat 35 contestants to win the title of Miss Tourism Indonesia 2011.
"Finally, I have been trust to represent my friends in promoting Indonesian tourism through this contest," said on Sunday.
Poor promotion and infrastructure hinder Indonesia's ability to capitalize on the tourism potential of its natural riches, Melissa said.
"We have to work together to build tourism potential by building adequate infrastructure and facilities, then promoting it and developing them through the Internet," she said, as quoted by tribunnews.com.
