Amusement park operator PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol said it would not only guarantee the “Atlantis” victims’ medical treatment but will also provide special treatment, a company official said.
“We will give each of them free entry cards to the entire facility for two years and we will treat them like VIPs,” company spokeswoman Nicke Putri said on Monday as quoted by kompas.com.
She said the compensation was part of the management’s responsibilities and a token of sympathy for the victims, Anggiat Silitonga, Sulasti, Rianto and Riki Alvian, who are still being treated at Satyanegara hospital in Sunter Agung, North Jakarta.
She added that the company had offered its sincerest apologies for any inconveniences to the Altantis Water Adventure visitors at that time.
She said the company would later conduct further evaluations to optimize visitors’ safety and comfort.
