Police question 17 witnesses in Surakarta bombing

Police have questioned 17 witnesses in the suicide bombing at the Sepenuh Injil Bethel Church (GBIS), Surakarta, Central Java, on Sept.25.
“We have questioned 17 witnesses so far,” National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Anton Bachrul Alam said Tuesday as quoted by Antara newswire.
A bomb was detonated at the church around 11 a.m., killing the suspected bomber and injuring dozens.
The National Police announced on Tuesday that the bomber was identified as Pino Damayanto, aka “Ahmad Yosepa Hayat”, who was wanted for his suspected role in a suicide bombing that took place at a police mosque in Cirebon, West Java earlier this year.
Police are still searching for four people already on the wanted list for their alleged involvement in suicide bombings in Cirebon and Surakarta.
