Jakarta Building Supervisory Agency (P2B) plans to conduct
an audit of the built facilities at Ancol Dreamland Park following the collapse
of a concrete sculpture on one of its waterslides on Sunday, which had injured
four people.
Without the agency’s approval, the park’s management, PT
Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, will face difficulties arranging a construction permit
(IMB) to repair the Atlantis Water Adventure Park following the collapse, Jakarta
Building Supervisory Agency (P2B) chief Wiriyatmoko said Wednesday as quoted by
kompas.com.
“The Building Construction Advisory Team (TPKB) will assess
the structure before the operator requests the permit.”
Wiriyatmoko added that the park management would not be
allowed to resume operations until his team’s investigation of the collapse was
finalized.
He further added that the rest of the park would also be subject
to the construction audit.
