Two robbers ran off with Rp 150 million after holding an
elderly man at gunpoint at his home in Pulogadung, East Jakarta, police say.
Pulogadung police chief Ary Purwanto said that the victim,
Agam Mantjur Alikalin, gave very little information regarding the perpetrators.
“All that he remembers was that the robbers were wearing
black jackets, jeans and riding a motor scooter,” he said Wednesday, as quoted
by tempointearktif.com.
According to Ary, the incident occurred just as Agam had
returned home after withdrawing money from a BCA bank in Kelapa Gading. As he
was about to open his gate, two men came and pointed a gun at him.
“We don’t know whether it was real or fake,” he said,
referring to the gun used by the robbers.
Ary said that the police would check CCTV’s to identify the
robbers.
“We suspect that the victim was followed from the bank
parking area, maybe they were recorded,” he added.
