Tolls on 14 roads set to increase Oct. 7

A planned 11 to 13 percent increase to toll fees on 14 toll roads will take place on October 7, the government says.

The roads in question include the Jakarta-Tangerang toll road, the Jagorawi toll road and the inner-Jakarta toll road.

"I signed a decree [on the increase] yesterday and it will be applicable for 10 days after my signing," Public Works Minister Djoko Kirmanto said Wednesday.

Djoko added that the 10 days were allocated so that toll operators could inform road users of the planned increase to avoid confusion.

"The toll operators must immediately inform [road users of the increase] during this period," he said as reported by kompas.com.
