PURWOKERTO: Banyumas Police have briefed ulema and other religious leaders about the terrorist movement, which has targeted Banyumas as a center of recruitment through its universities.
“We should not underestimate the terrorist movement. Therefore, we invited the ulema and other religious figures to update their information,” Banyumas Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Untung Widyatmoko said on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the ulema, religious leaders, police officers and academics from local universities, pledged to maintain religious harmony in Banyumas.
