As Korea is intensively introduces its already well-known pop culture, Indonesia does not seem to be following suit, therefore the Korean Ambassador to Indonesia expected that Indonesia will also hold special cultural events in Korea.

In a Korea-Indonesia Week press conference held on Saturday at Gandaria City, South Jakarta, Korean Ambassador to Indonesia, Kim Young Sun, said that he not only expected Korea to introduce its culture to Indonesians.

“We want Indonesians also to introduce their culture to Korean people in Korea,” Young Sun said.

The Korean Embassy in Jakarta is holding the third Korea-Indonesia Week in Jakarta this year, where various events such as Korean song-cover competitions, cover-dance competitions, a Korean food festival, concerts and sports will be held.

The Korean embassy has even planned the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relationships between Korea and Indonesia in 2013.

“We promise to prepare even more lively events in the future,” said Young Sun.
