SBY short-listing replacement candidates

JAKARTA: President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has begun short-listing the names of potential Cabinet ministers ahead of a planned reshuffle this month, a special aide says.

Presidential special aide for political communications Daniel Sparringa said that the President was assessing all of the existing ministers, and was considering suitable replacements for each one.

“Potential candidates are more than what is needed. It is going to be a long week for the President and Vice President to complete the process,” he said as quoted by vivanews.com.

He said that the candidate names would be finalized next week.

Earlier, a source from the Yudhoyono’s Democratic Party said that candidates would be interviewed in the second week of October.
