NATO defense ministers met on Wednesday and were expected to discuss bringing the alliance’s aerial campaign in Libya to a close and also training up Afghan security forces for a larger role in their country’s ongoing war.

US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, who took over from Robert Gates as Pentagon chief in July, will be making his first visit to Europe to attend the meeting.

You reported: “Ministers have praised the operation in Libya, which enabled Muammar Qaddafi’s opponents to oust his autocratic regime. It has been cited as proof that the Cold War alliance remains relevant to international security. ‘Our operation to protect civilians in Libya has been a great success,’ NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said. NATO warplanes have flown nearly 25,000 sorties, including more than 9,000 strike missions, since the strikes began in March.”

My question: Why have NATO warplanes destroyed the well-functioning infrastructure of Libya? Several thousand people have been killed. Why did they not kill Qaddafi? I am sure it was possible but the despot is still living in the desert.
The attacks on some Arabic states are being carried out at the behest of the Zionist state. Am I right?
