The Golkar Party has already made its decision regarding who should be elected as the future leaders of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Golkar politician Nudirman Munir said that these candidates had been considered figures with the courage to combat corruption.
“They are not intimidated by politicians, the government, or anybody else,” he said Saturday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
He said that those candidates included former Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Center (PPATK) head Yunus Husein, lawyer and activist Bambang Widjojanto and KPK advisor Abdullah Hehamahua.
Nudirman said that the assessment of the candidates’ competence had been defined based on a number of parameters, but was primarily focused on their commitment to fighting corruption.
