House deputy speaker tells SBY to hurry up

House deputy speaker Pramono Anung has asked President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono not to draw out his planned Cabinet reshuffle, warning that delaying it could disrupt other agenda.

“We are currently deliberating the 2012 state budget and it requires a lot concentration and focus. I urge the President to immediately execute his reshuffle plan, otherwise it could disturb ministers deliberating the annual state budget,” Pramono said Wednesday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

The comment was made in response to Yudhoyono's recent instruction that prohibits ministers from making strategic decisions ahead of the reshuffle.

Several politicians and observers said the instruction was confusing, as ministers are working with the House to deliberate on the 2012 state budget.
