Mandiri channels Rp 9.6t into toll road projects

Bank Mandiri reports that up to September it has channeled Rp 9.6 trillion into various toll road projects, Rp 1.8 trillion of which was in the form of bilateral loans and the remaining Rp 7.8 trillion in syndicated loans.

“These loans were given as a sign of our support to the needs of national interconnectivity through toll road projects,” Mandiri corporate banking director Fransisca Nelwan Mok said Thursday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.

Among the projects financed by Mandiri, Indonesia's largest state-owned bank in terms of assets, is the Kebon Jeruk-Penjaringan toll road project managed by PT Jakarta Lingkar Barat Satu. The bank has also provided loans to finance the Cinere-Jagorawi toll road project which is currently under construction, managed by

PT Translingkar Kita Jaya, as well as the Bogor Outer Ring Road (BORR) project by PT Marga Sarana Jabar and the Semarang- Surakarta toll road by PT Trans Marga Jateng.

Besides these projects, Mandiri in cooperation with Bank DKI also sponsored the construction of a 7.6- kilometer section of the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) project by PT Marga Lingkar Jakarta.

Bank Mandiri has disbursed Rp 1.4 trillion for the project, while its DKI counterpart channeled Rp 150 billion.
