The
customs office at the Ngurah Rai Airport,
Denpasar announced on Sunyda it had arrested T, 49, a teacher for smuggling
3.75 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (shabu shabu) from Kenya.
Officers
seized the drugs, hidden inside a black luggage, on Monday last week.
Airport
customs office head Made Wijaya said as quoted by kompas.com in a press conference that T, who flew with Qatar
Airways via Qatar and Singapore,
might have been a carrier.
The

smuggling: E, and NI. Both were planned to receive the package.
“E,
T’s cousin, has a Nigerian boyfriend who is allegedly linked to a drug
smuggling network,” he said.
Wijaya
said T, who confessed she had no idea about the content of the luggage, took
the package from Maputo, Mozambique.
T
was promised to receive Rp 7 million (US$791) for her job as a carrier, Wijaya added
"She
might need the money to pay the tuition fee for her master degree in Malang," he said.
