According to a political expert, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is seeking balance through the Cabinet reshuffle, in an effort to affirm support from parties in his coalition.
“That is why SBY would not dare to dismiss the Prosperous Justice Party [PKS] from the latest Cabinet, despite the outcries,” Yunarto Wijaya of Charta Politika said Monday, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Democratic Party deputy secretary-general Ramadhan Pohan once said that if he was authorized he would have asked Yudhoyono to at least reduce the number of PKS members in Cabinet given the fact that many members of the party were against the coalition policy or its agreements.
