New Transportation minister vows to fix safety problems

Transportation Minister E. E. Mangindaan vowed to set fixing the transportation safety issues as his top priority.

Mangindaan, who was formerly the state administrative reforms minister, acknowledged that he was still in the middle of catching up on the many issues related to his new post. Among the top issues on his agenda would be studying and evaluating safety issues.

“I need to know what the issues really are so I can fix the problems,” he said Thursday on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the Lombok International Airport in West Nusa Tenggara.Tempointeraktif.com reported.

Mangindaan also promised to study these issues quickly so he could further map out what needs to be done to address problems related to transportation safety.
