Raja Sapta Oktohari heads

Raja Sapta Oktohari, 36, has been elected chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) for the 2011-2014 period, replacing Erwin Aksa.

In an election that began on Wednesday afternoon and ended on Thursday morning in Makassar, Raja beat two candidates, Raditya Priamanaya Djan and Harry Warganegara.

Raja bagged 97 of 165 votes up for grabs, while Raditya, who is also the son of Public Housing Minister Djan Faridz, won 67 votes leaving Harry without a single vote. One voter abstained in the election.

After the election, Raja immediately named Harry as the secretary general of HIPMI.

Raja is the son of businessman and senior politician Oesman Sapta.
