Newly installed State Owned Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan says he will disregard the World Bank's latest assessment, which says Indonesia's poor electrical infrastructure hinders business.
“If we take careful notice of what has happened in the field, we see that this is not so. Dozens of businessmen have thanked me because, right now, they can start their businesses simply because they no longer need to
worry about the availability of electricity,” said Dahlan, a former state-owned electricity company director, on Friday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
The World Bank has issued its latest global report rating countries' access to conducting business, in which Indonesia’s position dropped from 126 to 129, which was mainly due to poor access to electricity.
