Typhoon hits Bangkalan, Malang

The East Java Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) reported two typhoons hit Bangkalan and Malang almost simultaneously on Friday, battering dozens of houses. However, no human casualties have been reported.

Local government authorities and residents are still evaluating the conditions and calculating the loss. Preliminary assessments reveal that in both locations, as many as 62 houses were severely damaged and would need major reconstruction, while 152 houses suffered minor damage.
