Golkar united in backing Aburizal for president in 2014

Thirty-three representatives from Golkar Party’s provincial branches have voiced support for party chairman Aburizal "Ical" Bakrie as the party's official presidential candidate.
Each provincial branch, one by one, announced its stance before more than 700 Golkar members attending the party's national executive meeting in North Jakarta on Thursday.
"We, from the Golkar East Nusa Tenggara branch, along with all officials from regencies and cities in the province, agree to support Aburizal Bakrie as presidential candidate," Ibrahim Agustinus Medah, head of Golkar East Nusa Tenggara, said.
Even though regional members and party executives have voiced support for his presidential candidacy, Aburizal has yet to confirm that he will stand for election in the 2014 presidential polls.
