SBY tells new Cabinet to "relax more"

In his first address to his Cabinet after the recent reshuffle, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called on to his ministers and deputy ministers to unwind from the pressures they have been burdened with since their appointment.

“Because this is the first plenary session, I want to say to the new officials, ministers and deputy ministers to relax more,” he said on Thursday as quoted by tribunnews.com.

He said that he was aware of and understood the position that the ministers found themselves in — having to endure constant words of disapproval from the public and the media.

“There is a lot of unpleasant talk. I hope you are not upset by this. I also experienced the same thing when I was a minister,” he said.

Yudhoyono told his officials to refrain from excessive verbal responses, insisting that they should talk less and do more.

“Don’t waste your time responding to comments but use it to do real work,” he said on Thursday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
