National police have new spokesman

The National Police on Friday replaced former spokesman Insp. Gen. Anton Bachrul Alam with Insp. Gen. Saud Usman Nasution.

Anton will later serve as police assistant for facilities and infrastructure.

“The spokesman should work well with journalists. We have to provide news for our fellow journalists,” Anton said Friday as quoted by kompas.com, during the welcome and farewell ceremonies for the new and previous Police spokesman at headquarters.

Saud, who had before served as head of the police anti-terror division Densus 88, said he was ready to cooperate with journalists and provide them with information.
