3 naturalized players await passports ahead of Qatar match

Naturalized soccer players Greg Nwokolo, Victor Igbonefo and Jhonny van Beukering are still waiting for their Indonesian passports to be issued so that they can join the national team to play against Qatar.

“We will wait until Wednesday, when their passports are scheduled to be issued,” national team coordinator Bob Hippy said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Sunday.

The three players took the oath to become Indonesian citizens on Oct. 10, along with two other players: Tonnie Harry Cousel from Feyenord Rotterdam and Stefano Lilipaly from FC Utrech.

Qatar will host Indonesia on Nov. 11 in a 2014  World Cup qualifying match
