Customs officers in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, say they have destroyed more than 7 million illegal cigarettes that were confiscated between 2010 and 2011.

They also destroyed 49 pornographic VCDs, 24 viagra tablets and one toy gun.

“These are the results of 19 investigations,” East Kalimantan customs general directorate regional office chief Oentarto W. said Tuesday as quoted by kompas.com.

The illegal cigarettes had been sent to Kalimantan from Java Island via a delivery service, but had unclear details for the sender and recipients, Oentarto said.

The VCDs, Viagra and toy gun came from abroad through the Banjarmasin post office.

The destroying of the items was conducted in Banjarmasin and was witnessed by police, members of the regional administration and local leaders.

Oenarto said that the illegal items had cost the country around Rp 2.2 billion in losses.
