Honda's Oct. sales passes 400,000, breaks records

Motorcycle manufacturer PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) has officially put itself in the Indonesian Museum of Records (MURI) for two record-breaking achievements: producing and distributing the most motorcycles in a month.
MURI recognized the achievements after AHM produced 412,658 Honda motorcycles and sold 415,281 motorcycles in October.
“Full support from 1,700 Honda networks has helped Honda in its achievements,” AHM marketing director Auddie A. Wiranata said on Wednesday in Jakarta as quoted by Antara news agency.
AHM said in a press statement that the October sales were dominated by Honda scooters, 246,532 of which were sold, comprising Honda Beat, the Honda Vario series, Honda Spacy Helm, Honda Scoopy and Honda PCX.
