Debt collector lawyers allege fraud in Irzen Octa autopsy

Noted forensic scientist Munim Idris has been reported to police by the lawyer of former Citibank outsourced debt collectors, in regards to an allegedly fraudulent autopsy report he produced for the late Irzen Octa.
“We highly suspect Munim simply copied his colleague’s work in this case because we noticed similarities throughout the report,” Lutfie Hakim, one of the lawyers, said Wednesday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
For example, Munim in his report recorded that Octa’s death was a result of internal hemorrhaging in his brain after he had been hit hard.
Another report written by fellow forensic scientist Ade Firmansyah, however, makes no mention of internal bleeding.
“Ade’s report was the one used by police from the beginning while Munim’s report was made only 22 days after the death, which is almost impossible because everybody knows that a man’s brain tissue is already damaged a day after death,” he said.
Irzen Octa was a Citibank credit card customer who died during a meeting with outsourced debt collectors early this year. His death was declared a result of a stroke, which confused his family since Octa had no record of high blood pressure.
The family alleged that Octa had been beaten to death during the meeting, and Octa’s wife took the case to the police.
