Ade Ray leads parade of SEA Games torch in Jakarta

Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo saw off at the City Hall on Saturday morning a convoy of 200 athletes, led by former bodybuilder Ade Ray, parading the 2011 SEA Games torch across the capital.
The torch had arrived in Jakarta on Friday, and spent the night at the City Hall. It will then be delivered to Palembang, where the 26th SEA Games will be officiated on Nov. 11.
“Send my regards to the South Sumatra governor. Let’s ask all Indonesians to make the 26th SEA Games a success,” Fauzi said while handing over the torch to Ade.
Ade then led the athlete convoy running through a number of streets in Jakarta, the route of which is as follows: Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan - Jl. MH Thamrin - Jl. Jend. Sudirman - Jl. Gatot Subroto - Jl. Gerbang Pemuda Senayan - Jl. Asia Afrika - Jl. Sudirman - Kawan SCBD - Plaza Mandiri - Jl. MT Haryono - Jl. Dewi Sartika - Jl. DI Panjaitan; before finishing at the office of the North Jakarta mayoron Jl. Yos Sudarso.
The torch is scheduled to be brought to Tanjung Priok Port in North Jakarta and delivered to Palembang on board a Navy ship at 7 p.m. on Saturday, tribunnews.com reported.
The torch was lit from an eternal flame source in Merapen, Central Java, last month, before being paraded across Borobudur Temple in Central Java - Yogyakarta -Semarang - Komodo Island in East Nusa Tenggara - Jayapura - Makassar- Balikpapan.
It was last paraded around Samarinda before being sent to Jakarta.
