62 companies attend int’l telco conference in Bali

About 150 executives from 62 telecommunication companies worldwide attended an international conference for the telecommunication industry on Wednesday in Jimbaran, Bali.

Bali Annual Telkom International Conference 2011 (BATIC) discussed future revenue trends in the telecommunication industry and the so-called Internet-driven economy.

“We hope that this conference can be a communication platform and lead to closer cooperation,” CEO of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin) Ririek Adriansyah said on Wednesday as quoted by Kompas.com.

According to Ririek, Telin as the conference organizer believed that the conference was the right forum to reinforce the position of national telecommunication companies worldwide.

He said he hoped that the conference could be a forum to exchange ideas and provide updates on the development of communication industry with digital lifestyle from all over the world.
