A photojournalist has filed reports to the police over street violence affecting himself and his family, adding that he was wrongly accused.
“A man approaching us suddenly accused us of hitting his car from behind in traffic in Kalimalang, East Jakarta. He not only accused us, the man also hit me, and hit my wife in the face and pushed my mother-in-law,” Cheppy A Muchlis, a photojournalist for Kontan economic daily, said Tuesday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Cheppy insisted that he did not hit the car from behind, adding that the man had been unable to show him evidence of the collision. He thus decided to report the incident to Duren Sawit Police.
“Now we know that the name of the man who had hit me was Simon. The police have also been informed of his license plates. We can only wait and see whether police investigate this case thoroughly,” he said
