Malaysia beats Thailand 2-1

Defending champion Malaysia
defeated Thailand
2-1 on Wednesday in a group A soccer match of the 2011 SEA Games.
Substitute player Ramlan Izzaq Faris was the Malaysian team hero after
scoring the winning goal in the 85th minute.
Malaysia scored first in
the first half with a goal by Bakhtiar Baddrol in the 24th minute,
but Thailand
leveled in the 78th minute with a goal by Natarid Thammaroddodpon.
With the win, Malaysia
tops group A with four points from two matches, followed by Indonesia with
three points from one match.
