Supreme Court chief justice Harifin Tumpa says the Supreme Court (MA) plans to summon all graft court judges following massive public criticism regarding the courts’ controversial acquittal of several graft cases.
“All 122 judges will be here next week,” Harifin said Wednesday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
He added that the judges would attend a one-week training exercise intended to enrich their legal perspectives in handling graft cases.
“This is one of our efforts to respond to public complaints,” Harifin said.
Many graft activists and officials have criticized the recent acquittals by several regional graft courts, suspecting them of being part of a conspiracy against the country's efforts to eradicate graft.
