Kenny G awards saxophone to a fan in Balikpapan concert

American saxophonist Kenny G mesmerized fans during a solo concert in Balikpapan on Monday evening, and even awarded a member of the audience a saxophone branded with his own name.

Kenny began the concert with a few tracks from his 1996 album The Moment, including "Havana", for the Indonesian fans who packed the Dome stage at Balikpapan Sports and Convention Center.

Accompanied by his long-time friend and pianist Robert Templer, Kenny also played "Forever in Love", which won a Grammy Award in 1994, "Loving You", "Silhouette" and "My Heart Will Go On", among other hits.

Kenny has performed in Indonesia several times, but the Monday concert was his first in Balikpapan.

At the end of the concert he drew a lucky draw and gave one fan a saxophone carrying the “Kenny G” brand, Antara reported.
