The National Police displayed on Tuesday evidence confiscated from members of the Abu Omar network, a notorious illegal weapons supplier from the Philippines.

“The suspects are part of the Abu Omar network,” National Police spokesman Saud Usman Nasution said at the National Police headquarters as quoted by tribunnews.com.

The evidence, including two M16s, a “Jungle” carbine, one FN, 796 bullets and six magazines, were confiscated during the Detachment 88 raids in Tangerang, East Jakarta and Bekasi on Nov. 12 and 13.

During the display, Saud also showed pictures of six members of the network, identified as DAP, BH aka Dodi, AA aka Agung, S, Darwoto aka DWT and Sugiharto aka SGO aka Sugih.

According to Saud, BH admitted that he had received an FN and a carbine and 20 bullets, which he hid in bushes in the University of Indonesia campus in Depok, from Abu Omar.

However, police found nothing when searching the jungle on Monday.
